In Friday's non-league challenge, the Sherman Tide (Seth, WV) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Lincoln County Panthers (Hamlin, WV), by a margin of 12-2.

With the win, Sherman betters its record to 2-0 on the season. The Tide host Mingo Central (Matewan, WV) to encounter the Miners in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 21. The Miners come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Mingo Central lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Wayne (Wayne, WV)
