In Friday's league game, the host Midway Raiders baseball team scored a tight 5-1 victory over the Red Springs Red Devils.
The Raiders (2-4) will now prepare for their game against St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC). The Bulldogs go into the Southeastern Athletic 2A game with a 6-2 record. In their last game, St. Pauls tipped West Columbus (Cerro Gordo, NC), 13-3, in a non-league game.
The Red Devils (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Clinton (Clinton, NC). The Dark Horses go into the Southeastern Athletic 2A game with a 2-5 record. In their last game, Clinton was overwhelmed by Fairmont (Fairmont, NC), 11-2, in a league game.
