The Bland County Bears softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host PikeView Panthers to 1 in the Bears non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Bland County moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Bears travel to Giles (Pearisburg, VA) to play the Spartans in a Mountain Empire game on Tuesday, March 22. The Spartans come into the game with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Panthers play the WestSide Renegades (Clear Fork, WV) in a Coalfield AA game, on Saturday, March 19. PikeView will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
