The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Walker Valley Mustangs (Cleveland, TN) and the visiting Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers (Chattanooga, TN), saw Walker Valley's softball squad achieve victory over Boyd-Buchanan by a count of 13-3.

The Mustangs now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host McMinn County for a 4A District 5 match on Monday, March 21. Walker Valley will face a Cherokees squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Union County (Maynardville, TN). The Cherokees record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Boyd-Buchanan falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to East Hamilton (Ooltewah, TN) to face the Hurricanes in a non-league match on Saturday, March 19. The Hurricanes enter the match with a record of 1-0. East Hamilton won 8-4 in their recent league match against Soddy Daisy (Soddy Daisy, TN)
