The Early Longhorns got by the visiting Brock Eagles softball squad by a final score of 7-6 in Friday's league battle.
The Longhorns (14-4) will now prepare for their battle against Peaster (Peaster, TX). The Greyhounds go into the 3A Region I District 8 battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Peaster nudged Dublin (Dublin, TX), 15-4, in a league battle.
The Eagles now possess a 11-5 record. They play next when they host Bangs for a 3A Region I District 8 battle on Tuesday, March 22. Brock will meet a Dragons squad coming off a 12-1 league win over Millsap (Millsap, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 8-3.
