In Friday's non-league contest, the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), by a margin of 18-0.

With the triumph, Grayson County moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to play the Pioneers in a Mountain Empire contest on Friday, March 25. The Pioneers come into the contest with a record of 2-1. Fort Chiswell won 10-1 in their recent league contest against George Wythe (Wytheville, VA)

In their next game, the Mustangs play the Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 22. Eastern Montgomery will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Bobcats come into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Pulaski County (Dublin, VA).
