West Rowan Falcons (Mt. Ulla, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC), 12-0 in a league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Central Cabarrus for a South Piedmont 3A challenge on Tuesday, March 22. West Rowan will face a Vikings squad coming off a 5-0 league win over East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Lake Norman Charter falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Knights host South Rowan (China Grove, NC) to face the Raiders in a South Piedmont 3A challenge on Tuesday, March 22. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. South Rowan won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Concord (Concord, NC)
