Texas High School Softball - Sweetwater nudges Lamesa

Sweetwater Mustangs (Sweetwater, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lamesa Tornadoes (Lamesa, TX), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they host Lake View for a 4A Region I District 3 challenge on Tuesday, March 22.

With the loss, Lamesa falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The Tornadoes travel to Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX) to face the Mules in a 3A Region I District 3 challenge on Saturday, March 26. The Mules enter the challenge with a record of 1-2.
