Walnut Mustangs (Walnut, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Los Altos Conquerors (Hacienda Heights, CA), 5-3 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rowland for a Hacienda challenge on Tuesday, March 22. Walnut will face a Raiders squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Schurr (Montebello, CA). The Raiders record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Los Altos falls to 12-7 on the campaign. The Conquerors travel to Diamond Bar (Diamond Bar, CA) to face the Brahmas in a Hacienda challenge on Wednesday, March 23. The Brahmas enter the challenge with a record of 3-11. Diamond Bar lost 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Los Altos (Hacienda Heights, CA)
