The North Davidson Black Knights softball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Southern Alamance Patriots to 1 in the Black Knights non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, North Davidson improves its record to 4-2 on the year. The Black Knights host Montgomery Central (Troy, NC) to clash with the Timberwolves in a Mid-Piedmont 3A game on Tuesday, March 22. The Timberwolves come into the game with a record of 2-4. Montgomery Central lost 5-2 in their recent non-league game against Union Pines (Cameron, NC)

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Jordan Falcons (Durham, NC) in a DAC-VII 4A game, on Tuesday, March 22. Southern Alamance will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Falcons come into the game with a 5-1 record after their 18-1 league win over Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC).
