The Pueblo County Hornets crushed the visiting Lamar Thunder baseball team by a count of 17-2 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Hornets now possess a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Falcon for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 25.

Next, the Thunder face the Florence Huskies (Florence, CO) in a 3A Tri-Peaks bout, on Friday, March 24. Lamar will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Huskies enter the bout with a 0-2 record after their 7-1 non-league loss to Trinidad (Trinidad, CO).
