In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Whiteville Wolfpack baseball team scored a tight 7-3 victory over the Purnell Swett Rams.
The Wolfpack (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC). The Patriots go into the non-league game with a 8-2 record. In their last game, Pinecrest tipped Southern Lee (Sanford, NC), 6-2, in a league game.
The Rams (3-6) will now prepare for their game against Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC). The Falcons go into the United Eight 3A/4A game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Seventy-First was overwhelmed by Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC), 7-1, in a league game.
