Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Hope Christian Huskies (Albuquerque, NM), 5-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Belen upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Eagles host Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM) to play the Tigers in a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 22. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 4-8.
The Huskies now possess a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Bernalillo for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 28.
