In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting Amherst County Lancers softball team scored a nice 22-0 win over the Northside Vikings.
Coming up next, the Lancers encounter the Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) in a non-league outing, on Monday, March 20. Amherst County will attempt to improve on its 3-0 season record. The Governors enter the outing with a 0-2 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA).
The Vikings (2-3) will now prepare for their outing against Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA). The Bruins enter the non-league outing with a 2-2 record. In their last outing, Blacksburg prevailed over Salem (Salem, VA), 17-2, in a non-league outing.
