The South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR) softball nipped the visiting Churchill Lancers (Eugene, OR), 13-12 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Axe (1-3) will now prepare for their bout against Roseburg (Roseburg, OR). The Indians go into the 6A Southwest bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Roseburg was edged by Gresham (Gresham, OR), 4-3, in a non-league bout.
The Lancers now possess a 0-2 record. They play next when they host West Albany for a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 21.
