In Saturday's non-league contest, the Geneva Panthers (Geneva, AL) softball team held off the visiting Wicksburg Panthers (Newton, AL), by a margin of 1-0.
With the triumph, Geneva moves its record to 6-0 on the year.
In their next game, the Panthers play the Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, March 20. Wicksburg will attempt to move on its 19-4 season record. The Rebels come into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to Opp (Opp, AL).
