The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Pelham Panthers (Pelham, AL) and the host West Blocton Tigers (West Blocton, AL), saw Pelham's softball squad nip West Blocton by a count of 7-1.

The Panthers now sport a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Helena for a 6A Area 6 match on Monday, March 20. Pelham will face a Huskies squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Chelsea (Chelsea, AL). The Huskies record now stands at 14-7.

With the loss, West Blocton falls to 9-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Bibb County (Centreville, AL) to face the Choctaws in a 4A Area 5 match on Monday, March 20. The Choctaws enter the match with a record of 3-4. Bibb County lost 7-2 in their recent non-league match against Brooks (Killen, AL)
