Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Ridgeview Wolf Pack (Bakersfield, CA), 12-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kennedy for a South Sequoia challenge on Wednesday, March 22. Taft will face a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 9-3 non-league win over Foothill (Bakersfield, CA). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Ridgeview falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Wolf pack host Frontier (Bakersfield, CA) to face the Titans in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 20. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. Frontier won 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Redwood (Visalia, CA)
