Central of Clay County Volunteers (Lineville, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Woodland Bobcats (Woodland, AL), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Volunteers now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Randolph County for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19.

With the loss, Woodland falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Winterboro (Alpine, AL) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 6-5. Winterboro lost 14-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Wadley (Wadley, AL)
