Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Comets now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Magna Vista for a Piedmont challenge on Tuesday, March 26.
With the loss, Chatham falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 20. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Magna Vista 0-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Staunton River (Moneta, VA)
