Pell City Panthers (Pell City, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Clay-Chalkville Cougars (Pinson, AL), 16-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chelsea for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Pell City will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 6-2 non-league win over Page (Franklin, TN). The Hornets record now stands at 7-10.

With the loss, Clay-Chalkville falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Cougars host Gadsden City (Gadsden, AL) to battle the Titans in a 6A Area 12 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 2-10. Gadsden City won 15-10 in their recent non-league challenge against Gaston (Gadsden, AL)
