Cornersville Bulldogs (Cornersville, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Community Vikings/Viqueens (Unionville, TN), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marshall County for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Cornersville will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 12-1 league loss to Giles County (Pulaski, TN). The Tigers record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Community falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Vikings/viqueens host Cannon County (Woodbury, TN) to battle the Lions in a 2A District 2 challenge on Friday, March 22. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Cannon County won 12-1 in their recent league challenge against Grundy County (Coalmont, TN)
