The crowd at Monday's league match between the Shawnee Redskins (Wolf Lake, IL) and the host Dongola Demons (Dongola, IL), saw Shawnee's softball squad achieve victory over Dongola by a count of 17-1.

The Redskins now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Meridian for a non-league match on Tuesday, March 19. Shawnee will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 22-0 non-league loss to Anna-Jonesboro (Anna, IL). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Dongola falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Demons host Elverado (Elkville, IL) to face the Falcons in a South Egyptian match on Friday, March 22. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 2-2.
