Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Eastern Wayne Warriors (Goldsboro, NC), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to John Paul II Catholic for a NCISAA Coastal Plain challenge on Thursday, March 21. Wayne Christian will face a Saints squad coming off a 17-2 non-league loss to Lawrence Academy (Merry Hill, NC). The Saints record now stands at 2-6.

With the loss, Eastern Wayne falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Warriors host Princeton (Princeton, NC) to face the Bulldogs in a Neuse Six 2A challenge on Tuesday, March 26. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 0-4.
