Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC), 19-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Buncombe for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 21. Madison will battle a Black Hawks squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to McDowell (Marion, NC). The Black Hawks record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Erwin falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Warriors host West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC) to battle the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 20. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. West Henderson won 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC)
