James Kenan Tigers (Warsaw, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC), 13-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Southwest Onslow for a East Central 2A challenge on Tuesday, March 19. James Kenan will face a Stallions squad coming off a 12-6 non-league loss to White Oak (Jacksonville, NC). The Stallions record now stands at 1-6.

With the loss, Lakewood falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Leopards travel to Union (Rose Hill, NC) to clash with the Spartans in a Carolina 1A game on Tuesday, March 19. The Spartans come into the game with a record of 3-2. Union won 3-0 in their recent non-league game against Clinton (Clinton, NC)
