Texas High School Baseball - Hawkins holds off Alba-Golden

March 18, 2025: Hawkins, TX 75765

The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Hawkins Hawks (Hawkins, TX) and the visiting Alba-Golden Panthers (Alba, TX), saw Hawkins's baseball team gain a win over Alba-Golden by a tally of 11-7.

The Hawks (13-6) will now prepare for their battle against Cumby (Cumby, TX). The Trojans enter the 2A Region III District 18 battle with a 1-11 record. In their last battle, Cumby held off Como-Pickton (Como, TX), 16-14, in a league battle.

Next, the Panthers face the Martins Mill Mustangs (Ben Wheeler, TX) in a non-league battle, on Monday, March 31. Alba-Golden will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Mustangs enter the battle with a 3-1 record after their 11-3 non-league loss to Big Sandy (Big Sandy, TX).
