The Barbe Buccaneers baseball team scored 12 runs and held the host New Iberia Yellowjackets to 0 in the Buccaneers league win on Tuesday.
The Buccaneers now hold a 18-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lafayette for a 5A District 3 test on Thursday, March 20. Barbe will play a Lions team coming off a 13-11 league loss to Carencro (Lafayette, LA). The Lions record now stands at 11-5.
With the defeat, New Iberia drops to 15-7 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Southside (Youngsville, LA) to play the Sharks in a 5A District 3 test on Thursday, March 20. The Sharks go into the test with a record of 11-8. Southside lost 9-2 in their recent league test against Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA)
