In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Columbus Falcons baseball team scored a close 13-10 win over the Winona Tigers.
The Falcons (8-9) will now prepare for their game against Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS). The Vikings go into the 6A Region 2 game with a 5-8 record. In their last game, Warren Central nudged Pascagoula (Pascagoula, MS), 4-2, in a non-league game.
Next, the Tigers play the Yazoo County Panthers (Yazoo City, MS) in a 3A Region 3 game, on Friday, March 21. Winona will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Panthers go into the game with a 7-5 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Humphreys Academy (Belzoni, MS).
