The Cardinals now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ashe County for a non-league test on Wednesday, March 19. East Surry will clash with a Huskies team coming off a 30-9 non-league win over Johnson County (Mountain City, TN). The Huskies record now stands at 5-2.

With the defeat, Wilkes Central drops to 3-7 on the year. The Eagles host East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC) to clash with the Cardinals in a Foothills 2A test on Friday, March 21. The Cardinals go into the test with a record of 2-5. East Surry lost 11-8 in their recent non-league test against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC)
