North Carolina High School Baseball - Highland Tech defeats Shelby

The Highland Tech Rams baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Shelby Golden Lions to 4 in the Rams league win on Tuesday.

The Rams now hold a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shelby for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A test on Friday, March 21. Highland Tech will play a Golden Lions team coming off a 11-3 non-league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Golden Lions record now stands at 1-8.

With the defeat, Shelby drops to 1-7 on the year. The Golden lions host Freedom (Morganton, NC) to play the Patriots in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 19. The Patriots go into the test with a record of 5-3. Freedom lost 7-4 in their recent non-league test against Chase (Forest City, NC)
