The Independence Tigers baseball team scored 20 runs and held the host Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets to 4 in the Tigers non-league win on Tuesday.
The Tigers now hold a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they host Madison Prep Academy for a non-league test on Wednesday, March 19. Independence will play a team coming off a 22-2 non-league win over Wossman (Monroe, LA). The record now stands at 5-12.
With the defeat, Mt. Hermon drops to 3-4 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Holden (Holden, LA) to play the Rockets in a B District 7 test on Thursday, March 20. The Rockets go into the test with a record of 10-5. Holden won 18-5 in their recent non-league test against Thomas Jefferson (Gretna, LA)
