Virginia High School Baseball - Middlesex loses to Northumberland

In Tuesday's non-league bout, the Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Middlesex Chargers (Saluda, VA), by a count of 12-0.

The Indians now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mathews for a non-league test on Thursday, March 20. Northumberland will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Essex (Tappahannock, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Middlesex drops to 0-1 on the year. The Chargers host Lancaster (Lancaster, VA) to play the Red Devils in a non-league test on Friday, March 21. The Red Devils go into the test with a record of 2-0. Lancaster won 11-1 in their recent non-league test against King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA)
