The Midway Panthers baseball team scored 17 runs and held the host Shoemaker Wolves to 1 in the Panthers league win on Tuesday.

The Panthers now own a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Temple for a 5A Region III District 22 test on Friday, March 21. Midway will play a Wildcats team coming off a 13-4 non-league win over Gatesville (Gatesville, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-13.

With the defeat, Shoemaker drops to 6-7 on the year. The Wolves host Killeen (Killeen, TX) to play the Kangaroos in a 5A Region III District 22 test on Friday, March 21. The Kangaroos go into the test with a record of 2-12. Killeen lost 14-1 in their recent league test against Harker Heights (Harker Heights, TX)
