Texas High School Baseball - Pollok Central defeats Newton

In Tuesday's league game, the host Pollok Central Bulldogs baseball team scored a close 9-2 win over the Newton Eagles.

The Bulldogs (3-10) will now prepare for their game against Diboll (Diboll, TX). The Lumberjacks go into the 3A Region III District 21 game with a 11-4 record. In their last game, Diboll was overwhelmed by Huntington (Huntington, TX), 5-0, in a league game.

Next, the Eagles play the Central Heights Blue Devils (Nacogdoches, TX) in a 3A Region III District 21 game, on Friday, March 21. Newton will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Blue Devils go into the game with a 9-4 record after their 2-0 league win over Huntington (Huntington, TX).
