Texas High School Baseball - Sanger nips Van Alstyne

The Sanger Indians baseball team scored 3 runs and held the host Van Alstyne Panthers to 2 in the Indians league win on Tuesday.

The Indians now hold a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they host Gainesville for a 4A Region I District 7 test on Friday, March 21. Sanger will play a Leopards team coming off a 2-1 league win over Bonham (Bonham, TX). The Leopards record now stands at 1-13.

With the defeat, Van Alstyne drops to 7-5 on the year. The Panthers travel to Celina (Celina, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 4A Region I District 7 test on Friday, March 21. The Bobcats go into the test with a record of 10-4. Celina won 7-2 in their recent non-league test against Sanger (Sanger, TX)
