Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, Monte Vista improves its record to 9-4 on the season. The Monarchs travel to West Hills (Santee, CA) to encounter the Wolf Pack in a non-league test on Thursday, March 20. The Wolf Pack go into the test with a record of 6-5. West Hills won 3-1 in their recent league test against Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA)

The Vaqueros now own a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Canyon Hills for a non-league test on Wednesday, March 19. El Capitan will encounter a Rattlers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Coastal Academy (Oceanside, CA). The Rattlers record now stands at 5-6.
