The Freeman Mavericks (Richmond, VA) lacrosse routed the host Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA), 19-5 in Tuesday's non-league outing.
The Mavericks now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Godwin for a Colonial outing on Thursday, March 20. Freeman will confront a Eagles team coming off a 21-1 non-league win over James River Midlothian (Midlothian, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
The Patriots (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA). The Wildcats come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Rockbridge County was overwhelmed by Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA), 12-10, in a non-league match.
