The Demons now hold a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Richlands for a non-league bout on Thursday, March 20. Fike will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Washington (Washington, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Smithfield-Selma moves to 3-5 on the year. The Spartans travel to Triton (Erwin, NC) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Wednesday, March 19. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Triton won 2-0 in their recent league bout against E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC)
