The Northeastern Eagles softball squad (Elizabeth City, NC), was routed 17-0 in Tuesday's league contest with the host Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC)

With the triumph, Holmes improves its record to 6-2 on the year. The Aces travel to Perquimans (Hertford, NC) to face the Pirates in a non-league contest on Wednesday, March 19. The Pirates enter the contest with a record of 2-0. Perquimans won 15-0 in their recent league contest against North East Carolina Prep (Tarboro, NC)

The Eagles now hold a 0-10 record. They play next when they travel to Pasquotank County for a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A contest on Thursday, March 20. Northeastern will face a Panthers squad coming off a 17-3 league loss to Camden County (Camden, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 0-4.
