The Lexington Wildcats triumphed over the host Irmo Yellow Jackets softball squad by a count of 10-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Chapin Eagles (Chapin, SC) in a AAAAA Region 4 challenge, on Friday, March 21. Lexington will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Lugoff-Elgin (Lugoff, SC).

The Yellow Jackets (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against River Bluff (Lexington, SC). The Gators enter the AAAAA Region 4 challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, River Bluff was routed by Mid-Carolina (Prosperity, SC), 5-3, in a non-league challenge.
