The Liberty Panthers triumphed over the host Shepherd Pirates softball squad by a count of 10-1 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Tarkington Longhorns (Cleveland, TX) in a 4A Region III District 19 challenge, on Friday, March 21. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 14-4 season record. The Longhorns enter the challenge with a 2-13 record after their 13-0 league loss to Hamshire-Fannett (Hamshire, TX).

The Pirates (18-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Hargrave (Huffman, TX). The Falcons enter the 4A Region III District 19 challenge with a 10-8 record. In their last challenge, Hargrave overcame Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX), 10-2, in a league challenge.
