The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Springfield Millers (Springfield, OR) and the visiting North Salem Vikings (Salem, OR), observed Springfield's softball team get by North Salem by a tally of 18-16.
The Millers (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Willamette (Eugene, OR). The Wolverines go into the non-league bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Willamette tipped Clackamas (Clackamas, OR), 11-1, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Crescent Valley Raiders (Corvallis, OR) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, March 20. North Salem will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Philomath (Philomath, OR).
