North Carolina High School Softball - Scotland bounces Pinecrest

March 18, 2025: Southern Pines, NC 28387

The Scotland Fighting Scots softball team scored 17 runs and held the host Pinecrest Patriots to 0 in the Fighting Scots league win on Tuesday.

The Fighting Scots now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lee County for a Sandhills 3A/4A battle on Friday, March 21. Scotland will confront a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 11-10 league loss to Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Pinecrest moves to 2-6 on the season. The Patriots travel to Western Harnett (Lillington, NC) to confront the Eagles in a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 19. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 2-5. Western Harnett won 18-0 in their recent league battle against Westover (Fayetteville, NC)
