Kentucky High School Baseball - Highlands edges Walton-Verona

In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Highlands Bluebirds baseball team scored a close 5-3 victory over the Walton-Verona Bearcats.

The Bluebirds (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Cooper (Union, KY). The Jaguars enter the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Cooper by Newport Central Catholic (Newport, KY), 10-9, in a non-league match.

The Bearcats now possess a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Covington Catholic for a non-league game on Thursday, March 19.
