Georgia High School Baseball - Mitchell County loses to Monroe

March 18, 2026: Albany, GA 31701

In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Monroe Golden Tornadoes baseball team scored a nice 17-2 triumph over the Mitchell County Eagles.

With the triumph, Monroe moves its record to 5-8 on the season. The Golden Tornadoes host Cairo (Cairo, GA) to battle the Syrupmakers in a AAA Region 1 match on Friday, March 20. The Syrupmakers come into the match with a record of 7-9. Cairo won 15-0 in their recent league match against Monroe (Albany, GA)

The Eagles now possess a 1-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Miller County for a A D2 Region 1 match on Friday, March 20. Mitchell County will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to Cottondale (Cottondale, FL). The Pirates record now stands at 8-7.
