The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Mildred Eagles (Corsicana, TX) and the visiting Cayuga Wildcats (Cayuga, TX), observed Mildred's softball team prevail over Cayuga by a tally of 16-4.

The Eagles (9-9) will now prepare for their contest against Trinidad (Trinidad, TX). The Trojans enter the 2A Region III District 20 contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Trinidad was routed by LaPoynor (LaRue, TX), 23-3, in a league contest.

The Wildcats now hold a 4-14 record. They play next when they travel to Cross Roads for a 2A Region III District 20 contest on Tuesday, March 24. Cayuga will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 20-3 league loss to Wortham (Wortham, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 0-6.
