Brooks Lions (Killen, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lauderdale County Tigers (Rogersville, AL), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Ardmore for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 21. Brooks will face a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Elkmont (Elkmont, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Lauderdale County falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Central (Florence, AL) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 24. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 4-4. Central won 12-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Wilson (Florence, AL)
