Albuquerque Academy Chargers (Albuquerque, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Santa Fe Demons (Santa Fe, NM), 13-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hope Christian for a 4A District 6 challenge on Tuesday, March 29.

With the loss, Santa Fe falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Demons travel to Robertson (Las Vegas, NM) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 21. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Robertson won 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Silver (Silver City, NM)
