The Northwest Rankin Cougars the host Neshoba Central Rockets softball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Cougars (11-1) will now prepare for their battle against Terry (Terry, MS). The Bulldogs go into the 6A Region 6 battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, Terry by Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MS), 19-7, in a non-league battle.
The Rockets now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Enterprise for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 19. Neshoba Central will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to D'Iberville (D'Iberville, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-8.
